AgencyAnalytics alternative: agency rank tracking, priced per keyword instead of per client

The short answer

AgencyAnalytics is a client reporting platform. It pulls SEO, paid, social, and analytics data into one branded dashboard, and it bills $20 per client per month on annual billing. Rank tracking is not in that price: it is a paid add-on at $41.67 a month per 500 keywords, and those keywords are checked weekly. Serpstracker is the opposite shape. It does one job, tracks every keyword daily, and charges for keywords rather than for client seats: $249 a month covers 5,000 keywords across unlimited client sites. Pick us if ranking data is the weak part of your reporting. Keep AgencyAnalytics if the dashboard that stitches every channel together is the product you are actually buying.

Side by side, honestly

The comparison, including where AgencyAnalytics wins.

These two tools are not really competitors on features, they are competitors for the same line in an agency budget. One is a reporting layer over 85 plus integrations. The other is a measurement tool for one channel. The table says so where it is true.

One thing worth flagging, because most comparison posts get it wrong: AgencyAnalytics no longer sells the old Freelancer, Agency, and Agency Pro tiers at $59, $179, and $349. Their pricing page now shows a single rate of $20 per client per month on annual billing, with volume pricing quoted for rosters past 25 clients. Articles still quoting the three old tiers are working from stale data. Serpstracker figures are our planned launch prices, held for early access signups. Check both vendors before you buy, since pricing changes faster than the reviews do.

What it costs at your client count

The per-client model flips at about ten clients.

Per-client pricing is genuinely kind to a small roster and genuinely expensive on a large one. Per-keyword pricing does the reverse. Here is the arithmetic with both published rates, so you can find your own break-even instead of taking a vendor's word for it. Both columns assume annual billing and 200 tracked keywords per client.

Roster AgencyAnalytics, with rank tracking Serpstracker Who is cheaper
3 clients, 600 keywords $60 in seats plus $83.34 in add-on blocks, about $143 a month $99 Growth plan, 1,500 keywords AgencyAnalytics, and you also get the whole dashboard
5 clients, 1,000 keywords $100 plus $83.34, about $183 a month $99 Growth plan Serpstracker on rank data alone, narrowly
10 clients, 2,000 keywords $200 plus $166.68, about $367 a month $249 Agency plan, 5,000 keywords Serpstracker, with keyword headroom left over
15 clients, 3,000 keywords $300 plus $250.02, about $550 a month $249 Agency plan Serpstracker, by roughly $300 a month
25 clients, 5,000 keywords $500 plus $416.70, about $917 a month before volume pricing $249 Agency plan, at its 5,000 keyword ceiling Serpstracker, though ask them for a volume quote

Read that table honestly and it does not say we are always cheaper. Under about five clients, AgencyAnalytics costs less and hands you a reporting platform on top, which is a real result and we are not going to bury it. The gap opens as the roster grows, because their model prices clients and ours prices keywords. It is also not a like-for-like swap at any size: their column includes paid, social, and analytics reporting that we do not touch. The comparison that matters is not total spend, it is what each dollar is buying.

Weekly checks versus daily checks

A weekly check is a sample, not a history.

The gap

Six days you cannot see

The AgencyAnalytics Rank Tracker add-on checks desktop and mobile positions weekly. If a client keyword falls from 4 to 19 on a Tuesday and recovers by Saturday, a weekly sample can miss the whole event, and the client sees a flat line while their leads dip.

Why it matters

Cause and effect need dates

Attribution work is date matching. You pushed a template change on the 12th, positions moved on the 14th. With weekly data points, the change and the movement land in the same bucket and you are left guessing which one caused what.

What we do

Every keyword, every day

Every tracked keyword is checked once every 24 hours on every plan, including the $39 tier, and the ranking URL is stored with it. That is the argument for a dedicated daily rank tracker sitting alongside your reporting stack.

The practical fix for most agencies is not a migration, it is a split. Keep the reporting platform for the client-facing dashboard, and put accurate daily positions underneath it, with rank drop alerts that reach an account manager the day something moves rather than at the end of the reporting cycle. If white-label delivery is the reason you are on a platform at all, the white label rank tracker page covers how branded ranking reports work here, and ranking reports covers what actually goes in one.

When you should keep AgencyAnalytics

Do not cancel a reporting platform to save on a tracker.

If your agency sells retainers that cover paid media, social, email, and SEO together, the value of AgencyAnalytics is that the client opens one branded link and sees all of it. That is a real product with 85 plus integrations behind it, and no rank tracker replaces it. Dropping it to save the add-on fee means rebuilding client reporting in spreadsheets, which costs more in account manager hours than the software ever did.

The setup we see working is both, deliberately. The platform stays as the client-facing surface. The tracker sits underneath as the system of record for positions, because that is the number clients argue about and the one that has to survive scrutiny. It costs less than moving a whole agency onto new reporting, and nobody has to relearn a dashboard mid-contract.

Switch or add us when these are true

  • Rankings are the number clients challenge. Weekly samples are hard to defend in a renewal meeting when the client has been checking Google themselves.
  • Your roster passed ten clients. Per-client billing plus per-500-keyword add-on blocks compound in two directions at once.
  • You need alerts, not a monthly PDF. A drop found on the 3rd is a fixable problem. The same drop found in the month-end report is an apology.
  • SEO is the whole retainer. If you do not sell paid or social, most of what the per-client fee buys goes unused every month.
Moving your client keywords over

Export, paste, run both for a fortnight.

Step 01

Export each campaign

AgencyAnalytics exports tracked keywords per campaign to CSV, with the search engine, location, and device settings you already configured.

Step 02

Paste every client at once

Drop the combined list into the bulk rank checker. Client sites stay separate, so reporting still splits cleanly per account.

Step 03

Overlap for two weeks

Run both. Expect small differences: a weekly sample and a daily one will rarely land on the same number, and neither is broken.

Step 04

Decide per client, not per agency

Some clients need daily data and alerts, others are fine on the platform report. You do not have to move everyone.

During the overlap, treat position gaps between the two tools as expected rather than as a fault. Trackers pin different locations, check at different hours, and read a page that is personalized in ways neither vendor controls. We wrote up the reasons in how accurate are rank trackers, and the practical side of running one keyword list across many accounts is in tracking keyword rankings for multiple clients.

AgencyAnalytics alternative questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does AgencyAnalytics cost per month?

As published in July 2026, AgencyAnalytics costs $20 per client per month on annual billing, on a single plan that includes every feature, with volume pricing quoted for agencies past 25 clients. Rank tracking is separate: the Rank Tracker add-on is $41.67 a month per 500 keywords on annual billing. The older Freelancer, Agency, and Agency Pro tiers at $59, $179, and $349 are no longer on their pricing page.

Does AgencyAnalytics include rank tracking?

Not in the base per-client price. Rank tracking is a paid add-on priced at $41.67 a month per 500 keywords on annual billing, covering desktop and mobile positions on Google and Bing, including local and multi-language results. Budget for it separately when you compare AgencyAnalytics against a standalone tracker, because the headline per-client rate does not include ranking data.

How often does AgencyAnalytics update rankings?

The Rank Tracker add-on checks desktop and mobile rankings weekly. That is enough for a monthly client report and thin for diagnosis, because a drop and a recovery inside the same week can land between two checks. Serpstracker checks every tracked keyword once every 24 hours on all plans, so each position has a dated daily history behind it.

What is the best AgencyAnalytics alternative for SEO agencies?

It depends on which half you are replacing. If you need the multi-channel client dashboard, the real alternatives are other reporting platforms such as Whatagraph, DashThis, or Swydo. If the weak part is ranking data, a dedicated tracker is the better buy: Serpstracker is $249 a month for 5,000 daily-checked keywords across unlimited client sites, with white-label reports and API access.

Is AgencyAnalytics worth it for a small agency?

For a small roster, yes, on pure arithmetic. At three clients the platform plus one rank tracking block runs about $143 a month and includes reporting across every channel you sell. Per-client pricing works in your favor under roughly five clients. Past ten clients the same model gets expensive fast, and paying per keyword instead of per client usually wins.

Can I white label ranking reports for clients?

Yes, in both tools. AgencyAnalytics has mature branded client portals and scheduled report delivery across all its integrations. Serpstracker includes white-label PDF ranking reports with your logo and colors on the $249 Agency plan, plus API access if you push positions into your own client portal. If branded delivery is the deciding factor, compare them on the reporting screens, not the price.

Do I have to move every client at once?

No, and most agencies should not. Move the accounts where rankings are contested or where SEO is the whole retainer, and leave the rest on the existing report. Running a tracker underneath a reporting platform is a normal setup, not a half-measure, and it lets you compare a fortnight of daily data against the weekly numbers before committing.

Does AgencyAnalytics track AI Overviews?

AI Overview tracking is not a documented feature of their rank tracker, which reports classic desktop and mobile positions. That gap matters now that an AI Overview sits above the results on a large share of US queries and pushes the blue links down. Serpstracker flags whether an AI Overview appeared for a keyword and records your true position beneath it, so a traffic drop with flat rankings is explainable.

More on the AI Overview question is on the AI Overview tracking page, and the agency-side setup is covered on rank tracker for agencies.
