Live Google results, organic only
Every check queries Google at the moment you run it and returns today's top organic results (up to 10) for your keyword: position, domain, and page title, in the order Google serves them. Ads, shopping carousels, and map packs are excluded, so the number you see is your true organic position.
If a live lookup fails or hits a rate limit, the checker falls back to a clearly labeled sample. It never dresses up canned data as a live result.
Honest note
Your own browser can show different positions. When you are logged in, Google personalizes results by history and location, which usually flatters your own site. This checker reads a neutral SERP, closer to what a stranger searching your keyword actually sees.
