SEO rank drop alert: know the day a keyword falls
An SEO rank drop alert is a message, by email or Slack, sent the same day a keyword loses its Google position. Serpstracker checks daily and pings you when a drop crosses the threshold you set, so falls never go unnoticed for weeks.

Email or Slack, the same day it drops
Serpstracker checks every keyword's position daily through the keyword rank tracker. When a check finds a drop that matches your rules, the alert goes out immediately: an email to whoever owns the keyword group, a Slack message to your channel, or both. The alert names the keyword, the movement, the page affected, and links to the chart.
Slack alerts ship on the Growth plan and up; email alerts are on every plan. Both carry the same payload, so whether your team lives in the inbox or in a channel, the person who can fix the page hears about the drop while it is still today's problem.

Three thresholds, set per keyword group
Not every keyword deserves the same trigger. Serpstracker ships three threshold types you can mix per group: any drop for money keywords where a single position matters, top-3 exit for keywords whose clicks live in the top three spots, and top-10 exit for the long tail, where leaving page one is the event worth hearing about.
Movements that matter often mean a rival moved up. The overtake, who and with which page, is one click away in competitor rank tracking.
Only meaningful drops get through
Positions wobble. A keyword bouncing between 6 and 7 every day is normal SERP noise, and a tool that pings you for it trains you to ignore alerts. Serpstracker suppresses single-position flutter around a stable average, bundles related drops from the same day into one message, and never sends more than one alert per keyword per day.
The result: when the alert arrives, it means something actually moved. And because every alert links to the keyword's chart and to the day's full top 10 in the SERP tracker, triage takes a minute, not a meeting.
What a month of not knowing costs
A slide from position 3 to 6 roughly halves the clicks on that keyword. Without an alert, the usual discovery path is the monthly traffic report, which means weeks of lost visits, and the leads in them, before anyone starts fixing anything. Catching the drop the same day is the cheapest insurance a rank tracker can sell you: the fix costs the same, the losses do not.
