Privacy Policy

Serpstracker is a rank tracking service. To run it we hold your email address, the sites and keywords you ask us to track, and a billing record held by our payment processor. That is the whole list, and this policy describes all of it in plain language.
Your account
When you sign up we store your email address, the time you signed up, the page and campaign parameters you arrived from (the "source"), and your IP address. We use the email to send your one-time sign-in code, your rank drop alerts, and service notices such as a failed payment. There is no password to store, because sign-in is a code sent to your inbox. We do not sell the list and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
What you track
We store the sites, keywords, locations and competitor domains you enter, plus the search results we collect for them over time. That history is the product: it is what lets us show a position change instead of a single number. It is yours, it is never sold or pooled into a shared dataset, and it is deleted with your account.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number: we keep only a customer reference, your plan, and the invoice history Stripe returns. Stripe processes payment data as its own controller under its privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP. Clarity may use cookies or similar identifiers for this purpose. We use this data in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify individuals. Microsoft's handling of this data is described in Microsoft's own privacy documentation.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our servers keep standard access logs: IP address, requested URL, timestamp, and user-agent string. We use logs for security, debugging, and abuse prevention, and we rotate them on a short schedule.
Demo inputs
The free Google rank checker processes the keyword and optional domain you type in order to run the live check and show a result. These inputs are processed transiently to serve your request and are not tied to a profile of you.
How long we keep data
Account data and tracking history are kept while your account is open and for 30 days after you close it, so an accidental cancellation can be undone. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Analytics data is retained per Microsoft Clarity's standard retention period. Server logs are kept for a limited period, typically no more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Data is shared only with the service providers that run this site (hosting, email delivery, Microsoft Clarity), each acting on our instructions, and with authorities where the law requires it.
GDPR and CCPA basics
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, restrict or object to its processing, and have it deleted. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. California residents additionally have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising their rights. We honor all of these requests regardless of jurisdiction.
Deletion and questions
To close your account, export your data, or exercise any right above, email [email protected] from the address in question. We respond within 30 days, usually much faster. More ways to reach us on the contact page.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects account holders, we email you before it takes effect.
