Comparison
Nightwatch alternative: Nightwatch rank tracker alternatives, priced by keyword count
The short answer
Nightwatch is a broad search tracker priced in euros: EUR 99, 199 and 499 a month on monthly billing for 500, 2,500 and 7,500 daily keywords, or EUR 79, 159 and 399 a month paid yearly. If you use its AI answer tracking, map pack and extra engines, it is good value. If you only need daily Google positions, SerpsTracker checks 1,500 keywords for $99 a month and 5,000 for $249, half that on yearly billing, in dollars.

The cheapest daily plan at five keyword counts, both billing cycles.
Nightwatch prints its yearly rate on the plan card, so a buyer comparing card to card is often comparing a yearly price against someone else's monthly one. This table puts both cycles side by side. The Nightwatch monthly figures are derived from its own page: the yearly total plus the saving it states, divided by twelve. Ranktracker is included because it is the other tracker most often priced against Nightwatch at the small end.
| Daily keywords | Nightwatch | SerpsTracker | Ranktracker |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | Starter, EUR 99 monthly or EUR 79 yearly (500 keywords, 5 websites) | Starter, $39 or $19.50 yearly (3 sites) | Launch, $39 (500 keywords) |
| 500 | Starter, EUR 99 monthly or EUR 79 yearly | Growth, $99 or $49.50 yearly (1,500 keywords, 10 sites) | Launch, $39 |
| 1,500 | Professional, EUR 199 monthly or EUR 159 yearly (2,500 keywords, 25 websites) | Growth, $99 or $49.50 yearly | Scale, $149 (2,000 keywords) |
| 2,500 | Professional, EUR 199 monthly or EUR 159 yearly | Agency, $249 or $124.50 yearly (5,000 keywords, unlimited sites) | Authority, $299 (5,000 keywords) |
| 5,000 | Agency, EUR 499 monthly or EUR 399 yearly (7,500 keywords, 100 websites) | Agency, $249 or $124.50 yearly | Authority, $299 |
Up to 500 keywords
Ranktracker Launch at $39 is the cheapest daily door here. Nightwatch Starter costs more but carries five engines, the map pack and AI prompts, so it is only overpriced if you will never open those. Our $39 plan fits if 250 keywords on 3 sites is enough.
1,500 to 2,500 keywords
This is the Nightwatch Professional band. At 1,500 keywords SerpsTracker Growth is $99, or $49.50 yearly, against EUR 199 or EUR 159. At 2,500 Nightwatch is the better deal on monthly billing, because our next plan up is the 5,000 keyword Agency tier.
5,000 keywords and up
Nightwatch Agency is EUR 499 monthly for 7,500 keywords, about EUR 0.067 each. SerpsTracker Agency is $249 for 5,000 with the API and unlimited sites, $0.050 each or $0.025 yearly. Above 5,000 we quote Enterprise, so at 7,500 exactly, Nightwatch is the simpler buy.
Nightwatch bills in euros by card; SerpsTracker and Ranktracker figures are US dollar list prices. We have not converted currencies because the rate moves every month. The full per-keyword table across eighteen tools is in the rank tracker cost comparison, and every Nightwatch tier is broken down on the Nightwatch pricing page.
Nightwatch vs SerpsTracker, including where Nightwatch wins.
These two products are not the same shape. Nightwatch has grown from a rank tracker into a search visibility suite: six engines, AI answer monitoring, a site audit, a content editor and an SEO agent, all on every plan. SerpsTracker checks Google organic positions every day and tells you the same day when one moves. Most of the rows below go to Nightwatch, and that is the honest reading.

Scored honestly, Nightwatch takes the engines, AI tracking, map pack, history, research, reporting, competitor and on-demand rows, and it allows more websites on its first two plans. SerpsTracker takes the price rows at 1,500 and 5,000 keywords, the yearly discount, dollar billing for a US company, unlimited sites at 5,000 keywords and Slack alerts on the middle plan. If watching keywords climb from page four matters to you, pick a tracker that stores deeper positions, because we keep the top 10.
Three things the Nightwatch price card does not say out loud.
None of this is hidden. It is all on nightwatch.io/pricing. It is just spread between the plan cards, the comparison table and the FAQ, and a buyer skimming the cards will miss it.
Billing cycle
EUR 79 is the yearly rate
Starter shows EUR 79 a month next to "EUR 948 billed yearly, save EUR 240". Add the saving back and a month to month Starter plan works out at EUR 99. Professional becomes EUR 199 and Agency EUR 499.
Seats
Unlimited, except on Starter
The page promises unlimited team seats with no per user fees. The plan comparison lower on the same page puts unlimited user seats, white label reports, the API and Looker Studio in the Professional column, with a dash against Starter.
Scope
You pay for the whole suite
Every plan carries AI prompts, a site audit, keyword research, a content studio and SEO agent credits. Nightwatch says nothing there is an add-on. That is a fair deal if you use them and dead weight if you came for positions.
If the job is a daily number for every commercial keyword and an alert when one drops, a dedicated daily rank tracker covers it without the rest of the suite. If AI answers are the reason you shortlisted Nightwatch, be clear that we do not track them: our rank drop alerts watch Google organic positions only.
Nightwatch vs AccuRanker, the other pairing buyers price.
AccuRanker is the tracker most often shortlisted next to Nightwatch, and the two answer different briefs. AccuRanker stays close to Google and Bing positions and sells speed: its Professional plan lists $224 a month for 2,000 keywords, checked daily, with on-demand refreshes. Nightwatch Professional covers 2,500 keywords for EUR 199 monthly and adds four more engines, the map pack and AI answer tracking.
So Nightwatch is the broader and usually cheaper product, and AccuRanker is the narrower one with a reputation for refresh speed. Both cost more per keyword than a dedicated Google tracker at 5,000 keywords. Our AccuRanker alternative page runs those numbers, and the accurate rank tracker comparison sets out what each vendor actually publishes about check cadence and precision.
Plenty of teams should not switch. Here is who.
-
You report on AI answers
If clients pay you to show how their brand appears in ChatGPT, Gemini or AI Overviews, Nightwatch tracks that on every plan. We do not track it at all.
-
You need Bing, YouTube or the map pack
We record Google organic results only. Multi-engine and Google Maps tracking is one of the clearest reasons to stay.
-
Your clients expect branded reports
Nightwatch Professional sends white label reports. We export CSV and offer an API on the Agency plan, but we do not generate branded PDFs or client share links.
-
You track around 2,500 or 7,500 keywords
Those counts land exactly on a Nightwatch tier and between ours. At 2,500 on monthly billing, and at 7,500, Nightwatch is the cheaper or simpler buy.
Export, paste, run both until your renewal date.
Step 01
Export the keyword list
Export the tracked keywords for each site from Nightwatch. The file and your saved reports are the only copy of your Nightwatch history that stays with you after you cancel.
Step 02
Paste into SerpsTracker
Add the site, then paste the keyword column into the add keywords box, one keyword per line. The first daily readings land within minutes, so the comparison starts the same day.
Step 03
Overlap for two weeks
Two trackers rarely agree to the exact place on the same morning. A difference of one or two positions is normal and comes from device, location and the moment each check runs.
Step 04
Split by job
Some teams keep a small Nightwatch plan for AI answer and map pack reporting and move the high-volume Google keywords to a daily tracker priced for volume.
The full checklist is in how to switch rank trackers without losing your ranking history. For a closer look at Nightwatch itself before you decide, read our Nightwatch review.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Nightwatch alternative?
It depends on what you use Nightwatch for. If you need AI answer tracking, the Google Maps pack or six search engines, few trackers match it. If you only need daily Google organic positions, SerpsTracker covers 1,500 keywords for $99 a month and 5,000 for $249, with yearly billing at half those prices, billed in US dollars.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Nightwatch?
Yes, at most keyword counts. Nightwatch Starter is EUR 99 a month billed monthly, or EUR 79 a month billed yearly, for 500 keywords. SerpsTracker Growth tracks 1,500 daily keywords for $99 a month, or $49.50 on yearly billing. At 5,000 keywords, SerpsTracker Agency is $249 against Nightwatch Agency at EUR 499 monthly.
How much does Nightwatch cost per month?
Nightwatch shows EUR 79, EUR 159 and EUR 399 a month on its plan cards, and those are the yearly rates: EUR 948, EUR 1,908 and EUR 4,788 billed once a year. The same page states the yearly saving, which puts the month to month price at EUR 99, EUR 199 and EUR 499. Enterprise, from 20,000 keywords, is a custom quote.
Nightwatch vs AccuRanker: which is better?
For breadth, Nightwatch. It tracks Google, Bing, YouTube, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo and Google Maps plus AI answers on every plan, from EUR 79 a month on yearly billing. AccuRanker is a focused Google and Bing tracker whose Professional plan lists $224 a month for 2,000 daily keywords. Both offer on-demand refreshes.
Does Nightwatch track rankings daily?
Yes. Every Nightwatch plan checks tracked keywords every day, in any location or language, and the pricing page also lists real-time on-demand checks on every plan, including Starter. What changes between plans is volume: 500, 2,500 and 7,500 keywords, and 5, 25 and 100 websites.
Does Nightwatch have a free trial?
Yes. Nightwatch offers a 14-day trial on every plan with no credit card required to start, and the whole toolkit is open during the trial. After it ends you choose a plan or stop. SerpsTracker has no trial plan; instead the rank checker on this page runs live Google lookups without signing up.
Why do people look for a Nightwatch alternative?
The usual reasons are price, since the plan card shows the yearly rate and monthly billing costs about 25 percent more, billing in euros for US teams, and paying for AI tracking, site audits and content tools when the job is only daily Google positions. Seat and white label rules on Starter are another trigger.
Does Nightwatch charge per user?
The pricing page says unlimited team seats with no per user fees. Its own plan comparison table, on the same page, marks unlimited user seats, white label reports, the API and Looker Studio as unavailable on Starter. If a team needs several logins, treat Professional at EUR 159 on yearly billing as the real entry price.
What does Nightwatch do that SerpsTracker does not?
A lot. Nightwatch tracks five engines plus Google Maps, monitors AI answers in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, keeps three years of SERP archives, and bundles keyword research, a site audit, a content editor and white label reports. SerpsTracker tracks Google organic positions only and stores the top 10 per check.
Can I move my Nightwatch keywords to SerpsTracker?
Yes. Export your tracked keywords from Nightwatch, copy the keyword column, and paste it into the add keywords box in SerpsTracker, one keyword per line. The first daily readings arrive within minutes. Keep the Nightwatch export and reports, because ranking history does not move between trackers.
Comparing more than one tool? The Wincher alternative page prices another euro-billed daily tracker, and the rank tracker for agencies page covers multi-client setups at 5,000 keywords and beyond.
