rankingCoach alternative for daily rank tracking on several sites

If the rankings screen is the part of rankingCoach you open, a daily rank tracker is the cheaper alternative as soon as you have a second website or a 51st keyword. rankingCoach 360 charges $60 a month, or $480 a year, per website for 50 keywords. A tracker like ours covers 250 keywords on 3 websites for $49 a month, or $288 a year. If you use the listings, review replies and SEO tasks every week, stay.

Who should look for a rankingCoach alternative

rankingCoach is a marketing app for one small business at a time. The 360 plan bundles rank tracking with directory listings in up to 46 places, review monitoring and replies, social posting, a Google Ads creator and a list of SEO video tasks for your CMS. For a florist or a dental office with one website and no marketing help, that bundle is the point.

Three kinds of customer outgrow it. The owner who opens a second location with its own site and finds the bill doubled. The service business whose list of services times towns passed 50 keywords, the hard cap per project on 360. And the freelancer or small agency who started a client on rankingCoach and now manages five of them, each a separate $60 subscription, while the agency edition hides its price behind a contact form. All three have the same need: more keywords on more sites, checked every day, for a price they can see before they talk to sales.

What replaces each part of rankingCoach 360

Before you switch, list what you actually do in the app each week. If you use one or two parts heavily and ignore the rest, only those need a replacement. Here is what takes over each part and what it costs.

What you use in rankingCoach What replaces it Cost
Rankings for 50 keywords in a few towns Daily rank tracker Starter, 250 keywords on 3 sites: $49 a month or $288 a year
Replying to Google and Facebook reviews Reply inside each platform, or review software Free in each platform; software varies
Directory listings Manage Google Business Profile, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect directly No fee, only your setup time
Google Ads creator Google Ads itself No tool fee, ad spend as before
SEO video tasks No direct swap in a tracker Keep a suite, or hire help for the fixes

Rankings are the piece a tracker replaces one for one, and usually for less money. Listings are a one-time job: claim and fill in your Google Business Profile, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect yourself, then update them when your hours change. The 46 smaller directories rankingCoach publishes to usually matter less than those three for a US business.

Reviews are the part people miss most after leaving. You can answer them inside Google and Facebook at no cost, but if you want customers asked for a review after every job and the good ones shown on your site, that is a job for customer review software that sends the requests and runs the widgets, not for a rank tracker. The SEO task videos have no swap in a tracker at all. If those are what keep your site improving, that is a reason to stay.

rankingCoach vs a daily rank tracker on cost

rankingCoach prices per website. rankingCoach FREE is $0 for 10 keywords in one location, labeled a limited time offer. rankingCoach 360 is $60 a month with a $25 setup fee shown next to the monthly price, or $480 a year on annual payment. Each extra website is another subscription at the same price. A dedicated tracker prices by keyword count with several sites included, so the second and third website add nothing until the list outgrows the plan.

Run your own numbers. One website with 50 keywords in one town costs $480 a year on rankingCoach 360 and $288 on our Starter billed yearly. Three websites cost $1,440 against the same $288, because Starter covers 3 sites and 250 keywords. Ten client sites with 100 keywords each do not fit on 360 at all; that list is 1,000 keywords, which our Growth plan covers on 10 sites for $99 a month or $594 a year. The full plan by plan breakdown, with the receipt for year one, is on our rankingCoach pricing page.

The one case where nothing beats rankingCoach on price is the FREE edition. Ten keywords for one shop at $0 is better than any paid plan, ours included, for as long as the offer runs.

Other dedicated trackers worth pricing

If you are leaving for rankings, you have choices besides us, and the right one depends on the shape of your list. AuthorityLabs allows 50 domains on its $65 Plus plan with 250 daily keywords, which suits an agency with many small local clients and short lists. SERPRobot sells checks by the bot at $4.99 for 75 daily keywords, the cheapest way in for a single small list; our SERPRobot review works out what it costs as the list grows. We are the better fit for a long list on a few sites, for yearly billing at half price, and for an email the morning a position crosses the threshold you set.

How to leave rankingCoach without losing your history

Do it in this order. First, write down every keyword and location you track, with today's positions, so you keep a dated baseline. Second, set the same list up in the new tracker, with the city or ZIP code on each keyword that needs one. Our local rank tracker page explains how town-level tracking works. Third, run both side by side for a week and compare the direction of moves rather than exact places, since two trackers rarely agree to the place on the same morning.

Then cancel on time. rankingCoach asks for notice 7 days before the contract ends, and contracts of 12 months or longer can only end at the close of that term. Refunds are not automatic; you ask support and they decide case by case within about two weeks. If you paid annually in spring, mark the renewal date now so you are not carried into another year.

Our verdict

Keep rankingCoach if you are one business, on one website, and you use the listings, reviews and task videos every week; the bundle earns its $40 a month on annual payment. Switch to a daily rank tracker if you are paying for a second or third website, if your list hit the 50 keyword cap, or if you manage clients and want a price you can quote without a sales call. For most owners in that second group, our rank tracker for small business setup, Starter at $49 a month or $288 a year, covers what rankingCoach did on the rankings side for less.

rankingCoach alternative questions

What is the best alternative to rankingCoach?

It depends on which part you use. If you mainly watch rankings, a dedicated daily rank tracker is the closest swap and usually cheaper once you have more than one website or 50 keywords. If you rely on listings, review replies and the SEO task list together, no single tracker replaces that, and another all-in-one suite is the fairer comparison.

Is rankingCoach worth it?

For one local business that uses the listings, review management and guided SEO tasks, $40 a month on annual payment is reasonable. It is poor value as a rank tracker alone: 50 keywords on one website for $60 a month, with every extra website billed as a full subscription.

Is rankingCoach legit?

Yes. rankingCoach is made by rankingCoach GmbH, a company based in Cologne, Germany, and it publishes its prices, terms and a cancellation and refund policy. Note that its terms say customers can only be businesses, so every contract is business to business and consumer cooling-off rules do not apply.

Can I cancel rankingCoach anytime?

You can cancel at any time, but it takes effect at the end of the paid period. rankingCoach asks for cancellation 7 days before the contract ends, contracts of 12 months or longer run to the end of the term, and refunds are decided case by case after a request to support.

How many keywords does rankingCoach track?

rankingCoach FREE tracks 10 keywords in one location and rankingCoach 360 tracks 50 keywords in up to 5 locations per project, with each keyword counted in each location. The agency edition tracks 100 keywords in 10 locations per project, at prices you have to request.

What does a rankingCoach alternative cost per year?

For rankings only, a daily tracker covering 250 keywords on 3 websites costs $288 a year on our Starter plan billed yearly, against $480 per website per year on rankingCoach 360. Three websites on rankingCoach 360 cost $1,440 a year before any setup fee.
