Advanced Web Ranking vs WebCEO: agency pricing compared on five real tracking briefs

For daily rank tracking, Advanced Web Ranking is the cheaper of the two on four of the five agency briefs below, and it includes unlimited users on every plan. WebCEO wins when weekly rankings are enough and you want audits, backlinks and branded reports in the same bill. The reason is structural. AWR sells keyword units at a flat rate and charges seven units for a daily keyword. WebCEO scans weekly on its fixed plans and meters daily scans on Agency Unlimited at $4 per 1,000 rank queries on top of a $99 base. Price the brief you actually run, not the headline plan.

How each vendor prices a tracked keyword

Advanced Web Ranking sells four plans: Pro at $139 a month for 7,000 keyword units, Agency at $279 for 14,500, Enterprise at $699 for 35,500 and Ent Plus at $980 for 50,000. Its pricing FAQ defines one unit as one keyword on one search engine, one location and one device, updated weekly, to a depth of five pages. Everything else is a multiplier: daily updates count seven times, a second device doubles it, each extra location adds another full count, and ten pages of depth doubles it again. Read through that formula, the $139 plan is 1,000 keywords checked daily on desktop, or 500 on desktop and mobile.

WebCEO runs two models on one page. Solo ($36, 100 keywords), Startup ($119, 750 keywords, 5 projects) and Corporate ($299, 2,400 keywords, 30 projects) are fixed prices with weekly automated scanning to the Top 50. Agency Unlimited is $99 a month plus $2 per active project and $4 per 1,000 rank queries, where a rank query is "a keyword x a location x a device x number of search results pages x rank scans frequency per month". That is the only WebCEO plan with daily automated scans and Top 100 depth. The full rate card, including the charges for users, backlinks and lead reports, is on our WebCEO pricing page, and the AWR unit table is broken down on the Advanced Web Ranking pricing page.

Advanced Web Ranking vs WebCEO on five agency briefs

Each brief is a job we see agencies price. AWR is sized to the smallest plan whose units cover the brief. WebCEO daily briefs are priced on Agency Unlimited at one results page per keyword, the cheapest reading of the formula; the weekly brief is priced on the fixed plan that fits. Monthly list prices, no extra users, no white label add-ons.

Advanced Web Ranking and WebCEO monthly cost for five agency rank tracking briefs, with Serpstracker for reference
Brief Advanced Web Ranking WebCEO Cheaper Serpstracker
750 keywords daily, desktop, 5 sites $139 Pro (5,250 of 7,000 units) $199 Agency Unlimited AWR by $60 $99 Growth
1,500 keywords daily, desktop, 10 sites $279 Agency (10,500 of 14,500 units) $299 Agency Unlimited AWR by $20 $99 Growth
1,500 keywords daily, desktop and mobile, 10 sites $699 Enterprise (21,000 units) $479 Agency Unlimited WebCEO by $220 $249 Agency (3,000 keyword rows)
5,000 keywords daily, desktop, 25 sites $699 Enterprise (35,000 of 35,500 units) $749 Agency Unlimited AWR by $50 $249 Agency
2,400 keywords weekly, desktop, 30 sites $139 Pro (2,400 units) $299 Corporate, or about $201 on Agency Unlimited AWR by $62 or more $99 Growth covers 1,500 daily; 2,400 needs Agency at $249

The third row is the one to look at twice. AWR's plans step up in large jumps, and a brief that needs 21,000 units falls just past the 14,500 on Agency, so it pays for Enterprise and carries 14,500 units it never uses. WebCEO's metered plan has no steps, so it wins exactly where AWR's tier boundary is most wasteful. Move the same brief to 1,000 keywords on both devices (14,000 units) and it fits back inside AWR Agency at $279, against about $359 at WebCEO. Before you choose either, work out where your own keyword count sits relative to AWR's tier edges.

The last row shows why weekly buyers should look hard at AWR. At its advertised weekly cadence a keyword costs about two cents, which is cheaper than any other tracker we have priced, and $139 covers 2,400 weekly keywords with room left over. WebCEO's Corporate plan asks $299 for the same count on the same cadence, though it adds an audit crawler, a backlink index and ten extra users.

Users, white label, API and the rest of the agency checklist

Beyond rankings Forecasting, market share, AI answer visibility Site audit, backlinks, content assistant, SEO lead widget, task manager

Two lines in that table decide most agency purchases. The first is seats. AWR's unlimited users on a $139 plan is the best seat deal we have found from any tracker vendor, and a ten person team on WebCEO Agency Unlimited pays $50 a month for the same access. The second is what sits outside rankings. WebCEO is a toolkit: an audit crawler, a backlink checker, a lead generation widget for your agency site and a task manager for the SEO work itself. If your team already routes client requests through a dedicated task assignment tool, that last one matters less, but the audit and backlink data do not have an equivalent inside AWR.

Which one should an agency buy?

Buy Advanced Web Ranking if rankings are the product you report to clients and you need depth, maps, several engines or AI answer visibility, and your keyword count lands comfortably inside a tier. The unlimited seats and the 30 day money back guarantee make it the lower risk purchase of the two.

Buy WebCEO if you want one bill for audits, backlinks, branded reports and rankings, and weekly positions are enough for how you report. Corporate is a fair all in one plan on those terms. Move to Agency Unlimited only after running your real list through its budget calculator, because the metered bill grows with every device and city you add.

Buy neither if what you actually need is a daily Google position for each client keyword and an alert when it drops. That job does not need a unit formula or a suite. Serpstracker checks every keyword daily on every plan, $99 for 1,500 and $249 for 5,000 with the API, organic results only. On the desktop briefs above it costs between a third and two thirds of either vendor's price, and it is a narrower product, which is the trade. Our rank tracker for agencies page shows how client work is laid out, and the rank tracker cost comparison prices sixteen tools on the same basis.

Advanced Web Ranking vs WebCEO questions

Which is cheaper, Advanced Web Ranking or WebCEO?

For daily rank tracking, Advanced Web Ranking is cheaper on four of the five briefs priced here, and the gap widens once mobile is added. WebCEO is cheaper when a brief lands just past one of AWR's tier edges, such as 1,500 keywords on desktop and mobile, and it is the better value when weekly rankings are enough and you want site audits and backlinks in the same bill.

Does Advanced Web Ranking or WebCEO include unlimited users?

Advanced Web Ranking includes unlimited users and unlimited projects on every plan, including the $139 Pro plan. WebCEO includes 5 extra users on Startup and 10 on Corporate at no charge, and charges $5 per user a month on Agency Unlimited, with the first month free.

Which has white label reports, AWR or WebCEO?

Both do, gated differently. AWR offers white label on a custom domain on the Agency plan and higher, and on every yearly subscription, so a yearly Pro plan qualifies. WebCEO includes branded reports on Startup, Corporate and Agency Unlimited, and charges $40 a month to run the whole toolset on your own domain, an option listed only on Agency Unlimited.

Do AWR and WebCEO track rankings daily?

AWR offers daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly updates on every plan, but a daily keyword uses seven keyword units, so the allowance shrinks sevenfold. WebCEO scans daily only on Agency Unlimited; Solo, Startup and Corporate are listed with weekly automated scanning plus manual checks on demand.

Is there a cheaper alternative to AWR and WebCEO for daily rank tracking?

Yes, if you only need Google organic positions. Serpstracker checks every keyword daily on every plan at a fixed price: $99 a month for 1,500 keywords across 10 sites and $249 for 5,000 keywords across unlimited sites with the API. It has no map pack, audit or backlink tools, which both AWR and WebCEO include in some form.

The short version

Advanced Web Ranking is cheaper for daily tracking on most agency briefs and gives unlimited users on every plan, but its tiers jump in big steps, so a brief just past a boundary overpays. WebCEO is cheaper as an all in one weekly toolkit, and its metered plan wins where AWR's steps waste units. If the job is daily Google positions and nothing else, a fixed price daily tracker costs less than either.
