Why do people look for a Ubersuggest alternative?

The most common reason is a ceiling nobody notices at signup. We read the Ubersuggest pricing page in full on August 31, 2026, and the tracked keyword allowance is stated per project: 125 on Individual, 150 on Business, 300 on Enterprise, against project limits of 1, 7 and 15. That arithmetic matters more than it first appears. Enterprise at $99 a month is not a pool of 4,500 keywords you can allocate as you like. It is fifteen separate buckets of 300, and if you run one important website, 300 is the most you will ever monitor on it, no matter how much you pay Ubersuggest.

The second reason is cadence. Rank tracking on Ubersuggest updates weekly, and so do its site audits. There is no daily tier. For a content site that publishes twice a month, weekly is genuinely fine. For anyone running an active campaign, recovering from an algorithm update, or holding positions that convert, a weekly interval means a drop can sit unseen for up to seven days, because an alert cannot arrive faster than the check behind it.

A third, smaller reason: the pricing page is permanently on sale. When we read it there was a "save 90% with lifetime access" banner beside a countdown that resets, and toggle badges reading 70% and 90% off, with no undiscounted price printed anywhere to measure either percentage against. Lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable. That is not a product flaw, but it makes budgeting awkward, and it is worth knowing before you buy the lifetime deal.

Per project or pooled: what you can actually monitor on one website

This is the comparison that decides the switch, and it is almost never published, because reviews quote the headline keyword number without saying whether you can spend it where you need it. A pooled allowance can be aimed entirely at the one site that matters. A per-project allowance cannot. Below, the third column is the number that actually applies to a single important website, and we have written "not stated" rather than guessing wherever the vendor does not publish the allocation model.

Read the third column against the first. Ubersuggest Enterprise at $99 and Moz Pro Standard at $99 both land a single website at 300 keywords, and both re-read weekly. For the same $99, a pooled daily allowance gets you 1,500 keywords aimed wherever you want them, checked five times as often. That is the entire case for switching, and it only applies if you are actually short of keywords or short of cadence. Best Ubersuggest alternatives, by what you are actually replacing

Ubersuggest is four products in one subscription, so "alternative" means different things depending on which of the four you were using. Replacing all of it costs more than $29. Replacing the part you actually use usually costs about the same.

If you were using it to monitor rankings

Move to something that pools keywords and re-reads daily. Serpstracker starts at $39 a month for 250 pooled keywords across three sites, checked every 24 hours, with the full organic top 10 and competitor rows recorded on every check and a same-day alert when a position breaks your threshold. If you were using it for keyword research

This is where Ubersuggest is genuinely hard to beat on price, and we do not compete here at all. Individual includes 20,000 keyword suggestions a month and 150 searches a day for $29, which is a different product category from a rank tracker. If you want to unbundle it, running keyword research as its own workflow and paying separately for tracking often works out cheaper than buying a suite for one of its four modules. Moz Pro Standard, by contrast, allows only 150 keyword queries a month at $99, so do not assume a pricier suite means more research volume.

If you were using the site audit or backlink data

Ubersuggest audits 1,000 pages weekly on Individual. If crawling is the job, a dedicated suite is the replacement: Moz Pro Standard at $99 crawls far more and adds Domain Authority, which clients ask for by name. For backlinks specifically, Ahrefs is the category standard and its Lite plan is $129 a month, though note that Ahrefs re-reads rankings weekly on all four of its plans including the $1,499 tier, so it does not solve the cadence problem either. If you need everything in one subscription

Where Ubersuggest still wins

Three things, and they are not small. At $29 it bundles keyword research, a site auditor, backlink data and AI visibility features, none of which a standalone rank monitor gives you, so if you use more than one of those modules the value is real. It sells a lifetime one-time payment, which almost nobody else in this category does, and for a long-lived project that can beat any subscription. And the volumes on the research side, 20,000 to 100,000 keyword suggestions a month, are genuinely generous for the price.

The honest summary is that Ubersuggest is a good cheap suite with a weak rank tracker bolted into it. If rank tracking is a nice-to-have alongside three other jobs, it is fine. If rank tracking is the job, the per-project cap and the weekly cadence are structural, not fixable by upgrading, and that is when you look elsewhere. Does Ubersuggest track rankings daily?

No. Ubersuggest re-reads tracked keyword positions weekly on all three plans, including Enterprise at $99 a month, and its site audits run weekly too. There is no daily option at any price. Practically, that means a ranking drop can sit unnoticed for up to seven days, and you get roughly 4.3 readings per keyword per month rather than about 30.

How many keywords can you track with Ubersuggest?

125 per project on Individual, 150 on Business and 300 on Enterprise, with 1, 7 and 15 projects respectively. Because the allowance is per project rather than pooled, the maximum you can monitor on any single website is 300, on the most expensive plan Ubersuggest sells self-serve. Is there a free Ubersuggest alternative?

For a genuine one-off position check, yes: the checker at the top of this page runs a live lookup with no account. What no free tool does is the part that makes tracking useful, which is re-reading the same list on a schedule and keeping the dated history. Storage and repeated queries cost money to run, so every tool that monitors properly charges for it. The cheapest verified paid option is $4.99 a month.

Should I switch, or stay?

Stay if you use two or more of Ubersuggest's four modules, run several small sites rather than one large one, and can live with knowing about a ranking change up to a week late. That describes a lot of people honestly and cheaply. Switch if you have hit the per-project cap on the one site that matters, if you need to see the effect of a change within a day rather than a week, or if you need competitor positions recorded alongside yours rather than as a separate research exercise. If you are unsure which camp you are in, the fastest test is to count the keywords on your most important website. If it is comfortably under 125, this is not your problem yet.
