Mangools SERPWatcher review on weekly updates, keyword limits and price

Mangools SERPWatcher is a clean, easy rank tracker that comes bundled with four other SEO tools in every Mangools plan. It tracks 200, 700 or 1,500 keywords across 65,000 locations on desktop and mobile. The catch most reviews skip: rankings refresh weekly on Basic and Premium, and only the EUR 141 Agency plan checks daily. Mobile and desktop also count as two keywords, which halves every limit.

How we reviewed SERPWatcher

This review is built from what Mangools publishes: the SERPWatcher product page (read October 2026), the Mangools pricing table and its FAQ (read September 2026), and the SERPWatcher entry in Mangools' own navigation. We did not run an accuracy test, so we do not score accuracy, and we do not repeat star ratings. Any cost per keyword below is plain arithmetic on Mangools' published figures.

We sell a competing daily Google rank tracker, so weigh the verdict with that in mind. SERPWatcher beats us on several things and we say which.

Mangools SERPWatcher pricing

SERPWatcher has no price of its own. You buy a Mangools plan and get KWFinder, SERPChecker, LinkMiner, SiteProfiler and SERPWatcher together. What changes between plans, for rank tracking, is the number of tracked keywords and how often they refresh.

Mangools plans with monthly and yearly price, SERPWatcher tracked keywords, update frequency and cost per keyword
Plan Monthly Yearly, per month Tracked keywords Rank updates Phrases on 2 devices
Basic EUR 61 EUR 37.70 200 Weekly 100
Premium EUR 81 EUR 52.70 700 Weekly 350
Agency EUR 141 EUR 97.70 1,500 Daily 750

The table we read showed euros. Mangools localizes the currency by region, and older reviews still quote a $49, $69 and $129 ladder that has since been repriced, so confirm the figure in your own checkout before you budget a year. The full breakdown of seats, lookup limits and the repricing is on our Mangools pricing page.

Does SERPWatcher update daily?

Only on Agency. Mangools is open about this, it is just easy to miss. The navigation menu describes SERPWatcher as "Rank tracking with weekly updates (daily on the Agency plan)". The product page headline reads "From setup to weekly rankings in 30 seconds (daily on Agency)". The stats strip on the same page counts "900 k keyword SERP positions checked weekly (daily on Agency)".

Weekly is fine for a blog you check on Mondays. It is not fine if a client site loses a money keyword on Tuesday and you find out the next Monday. If daily data is the reason you are buying, Basic and Premium are not options at any price, and the real comparison is Agency at EUR 141 against other daily trackers. We set out when each cadence makes sense in weekly vs daily rank tracking.

The keyword limit is half what the card says

The Mangools FAQ answers the question directly: each tracking is separate, so one keyword tracked for one domain on desktop and mobile counts as two tracked keywords. Locations work the same way. A phrase tracked in three cities on both devices is six slots.

That is a normal rule in this market, and SERPWatcher's 65,000 locations (states, counties, cities and DMA regions) are a genuine strength for local SEO. Just do the multiplication first. 400 phrases on both devices is 800 slots, which is more than Premium's 700, and the next step is Agency. We worked through the numbers per plan in how many keywords you can track with Mangools.

Which Mangools plan to buy for rank tracking

Four typical buyers, each priced on the cheapest plan that covers them on Mangools' own rules.

SERPWatcher plan picker by buyer type
Buyer Slots used Mangools plan Watch out for
Blogger, 150 phrases, desktop, weekly is fine 150 Basic, EUR 61 One user only, no extra seats on Basic
Freelancer, 300 phrases on both devices 600 Premium, EUR 81 Still weekly; a drop can sit unseen for six days
In-house team, 500 phrases, needs daily 500 Agency, EUR 141 Agency is the only daily plan
Agency, 800 phrases on both devices, daily 1,600 None listed Above Agency 1,500; ask Mangools or trim

Where SERPWatcher is strong

Setup really does take seconds, and the interface is the calmest in the category. The Performance Index turns positions and search volumes into one trend line, which is easy to show a client. Reports can be shared as an interactive link, scheduled reports and email alerts flag important changes, and both desktop and mobile results are supported in a very large location database.

The bigger point is the bundle. For EUR 61 a month you get keyword research, SERP analysis, backlinks and site metrics along with tracking. If you research keywords every week, and want to turn those keyword ideas into finished blog articles afterwards, that combined workflow is where Mangools earns its price. One detail worth knowing before you compare tools: Mangools says SERPWatcher counts a featured snippet as position one, which is a common reason two trackers disagree by a place.

Where SERPWatcher is weaker

Weekly updates on two of three plans is the main one. The ceiling is the second: 1,500 tracked keywords is the top published limit, and on two devices that is 750 phrases. Basic has no extra seats at all. And because SERPWatcher is never sold alone, a team that only wants daily rank tracking pays for four tools it may not open.

Per daily keyword, Agency works out to about EUR 0.094 a month (EUR 141 for 1,500). The same 1,500 daily Google keywords cost $99 a month on our Growth plan, about $0.066 each, or $49.50 a month yearly. That gap only matters if tracking is all you need.

SERPWatcher or a dedicated daily tracker?

Keep Mangools if you use KWFinder and LinkMiner, need city or device splits, or are happy with weekly numbers. It is the better product for that buyer.

Switch the tracking part if you need a drop flagged the day it happens without paying for Agency. We check every keyword on Google once a day, store the top 10 behind it, and send drop alerts by email, and by Slack from Growth. No device or city splits, no keyword research. The side by side price table is on the Mangools alternative comparison, and what a same day alert looks like is on the daily rank tracker page.

Our verdict

SERPWatcher is a pleasant, honest rank tracker inside a good value suite. Buy it for the suite. If rank tracking is the reason you are shopping, read the update row before the price row: weekly on Basic and Premium, daily only at EUR 141. Then double your phrase count if you track mobile, and see which plan that number lands on.

SERPWatcher review questions

Is SERPWatcher free?

No. SERPWatcher is part of every paid Mangools plan and is not sold on its own. Mangools lets you create a free account to try the tools with limited lookups, and it offers a 48-hour money back guarantee on paid plans. For ongoing rank tracking you need Basic, Premium or Agency.

Does SERPWatcher update daily?

Only on the Agency plan. Mangools describes SERPWatcher as rank tracking with weekly updates, daily on the Agency plan, and repeats that on the product page and in its pricing table. On Basic and Premium your positions refresh once a week.

How many keywords can SERPWatcher track?

Basic tracks 200 keywords, Premium 700 and Agency 1,500. Mangools counts a keyword tracked on both desktop and mobile as two tracked keywords, and each location as another, so the limits fall to 100, 350 and 750 phrases if you watch both devices.

How much does Mangools SERPWatcher cost?

You pay for the Mangools plan it sits in. When we read the pricing table it showed EUR 61 a month for Basic, EUR 81 for Premium and EUR 141 for Agency, or EUR 37.70, EUR 52.70 and EUR 97.70 a month on yearly billing. Mangools localizes the currency, so check your own checkout.

What is the SERPWatcher Performance Index?

It is a single score Mangools calculates from your current keyword positions and their search volumes, meant to show the organic traffic potential of the whole project. It is useful as a trend line. It is not a traffic number, so read it next to Search Console clicks rather than instead of them.

What is the best SERPWatcher alternative?

For daily Google tracking without the rest of the suite, a dedicated daily tracker. SerpsTracker checks 1,500 keywords every day for $99 a month or $49.50 on yearly billing, against EUR 141 for Mangools Agency. If you use KWFinder and LinkMiner every week, keep Mangools, because a rank tracker does not replace them.
