SEOmonitor API pricing: what unlimited API access costs, and what the same feed costs at ten other rank trackers

The SEOmonitor API has no price of its own. It is included with the tracking plan, with no call metering, no credit packs and no API tier, and it is listed as unlimited on the EUR 299 a month Pro plan. You pay for daily tracked keywords, from EUR 99 for 1,000 on Starter, and the API returns whatever those keywords produce: rankings, SERP data, competitors, traffic and forecasts. That puts SEOmonitor in a small group. Of the eleven trackers priced below, only three include an unrestricted API at their agency tier without a separate line item; the rest gate it two tiers up, sell it as an add-on with no printed price, or fold it into an enterprise quote.

What the SEOmonitor API costs, exactly

Nothing beyond the plan. The help center article on API access is titled "Unrestricted, free API access", is subtitled "Programmatically extract your data from SEOmonitor, without worrying about limits or extra costs", and states that "any data from your account can be extracted programmatically". The pricing page repeats the point in its header, four infinity symbols above the plan cards: unlimited users, unlimited API, unlimited exports, unlimited competitors. The pricing article in the help center lists "Integrations and API: unlimited access to your data using CSV exports, Google Sheets, and our API, and imports to Looker Studio, at no extra cost" among the things every batch of daily tracked keywords buys.

So the real question is not what the API costs but what the keywords behind it cost. Starter is EUR 99 a month for 1,000 daily tracked keywords on one website, capped at 3,000 keywords. Pro is EUR 299 for 3,000 daily keywords across unlimited websites, and every further block of 1,000 is EUR 49. A developer pulling 10,000 keywords a day into a warehouse is therefore paying about EUR 642 a month for the data and nothing for the pipe. The full plan breakdown, the overage model and the annual terms are on our SEOmonitor pricing page.

The one inconsistency to clear up before you buy Starter

Read three SEOmonitor sources and you get two answers about the EUR 99 plan. The pricing page header and the help center both say the API comes with tracking, full stop. The Pro plan card, however, lists "Unlimited API Access" inside the block headed "Includes everything in Starter, plus", which is where a vendor normally puts the features the cheaper plan lacks. A November 2025 capture of the same page marked Starter's API row with a check mark and the tooltip "Complete API access to the tracked data, with no volume restrictions", so the intent seems to be that Starter has it. The 2026 card is ambiguous. If the API is why you are buying and Starter is the budget, ask for it in writing.

What the API returns

Version 3.0 is the current API, with public documentation at api-docs.seomonitor.com, and version 1.2 remains operational for integrations already built on it. The token is generated, and can be regenerated, from Settings and then Profile inside the app; regenerating it breaks every report built on the old token, which the help center warns about. The data comes in two layers. Campaign level endpoints return the campaign itself, its keyword list, landing pages, organic traffic where Analytics and Search Console are connected, and the forecast. Keyword level endpoints return daily ranking history, search volume and SERP data, competitor positions and keyword level traffic. Separately, the API exposes SEOmonitor's curated US and UK keyword research databases.

Three limits are worth knowing. First, your own position is refreshed daily, but the full top 100 for competitor data is crawled weekly, so a competitor column pulled daily through the API will repeat itself six days out of seven. Second, "unlimited" means no tier based metering, not no ceiling: the help center sets a fair use limit of 10,000 requests a day, 10 requests a second and 1,000 rows per request, the same on every plan, which at 1,000 rows a call is 10 million rows a day and more than any ranking pipeline needs. Third, the API is for tracked campaigns; draft campaigns, the free one day snapshots, are not covered. The API can also write: version 3.0 has an Add New Keywords endpoint, and keywords added that way are billed at the normal keyword rate, which is the one place the "free" API can raise the invoice.

What an API feed costs at eleven rank trackers

Every row below is the cheapest published plan on which the vendor's API is available, read from the vendor's own pricing page on the date shown. Where the API is an add-on with no printed price, the row says so instead of guessing. Euro vendors stay in euros.

Tracker Cheapest plan with API Daily keywords on that plan API terms as published
SEOmonitor Pro, EUR 299 (Starter EUR 99 if confirmed) 3,000 Unlimited, no metering, Looker Studio and Sheets included. Read September 2026.
Serpstracker Agency, $249 5,000 Included on the Agency plan with CSV export. Our own published plan.
AgencyAnalytics $20 per client, billed annually Rank tracking is a separate add-on, $41.67 per 500 API included in the single plan. Read August 2026.
Wincher Standard, EUR 89 1,000 Switched off on EUR 49 Basic, on from Standard. Read August 2026.
Nightwatch Professional, EUR 159 2,500 On from Professional; custom API rate limits arrive on Agency, EUR 399. Read August 2026.
Advanced Web Ranking Agency, $279 2,071 after the 7x daily multiplier No API on the $139 Pro plan. Unlimited API from Agency. Read September 2026.
AccuRanker Expert, $764 Priced by volume Read API on Expert; write API and raw SERP HTML on Enterprise only. Read September 2026.
SE Ranking Any plan plus the API add-on 2,000 on Core, $129 API is a separately priced add-on with no price printed on the subscription page. Read August 2026.
Ranktracker Any plan plus the API add-on 500 on Launch, $39 Listed as an available add-on under every card, identically on $39 and $299, with no published price. Read September 2026.
Semrush Enterprise, quoted Not applicable API usage is one of the inputs to the Enterprise quote; none of the four list price plans advertises it. Read September 2026.
Ahrefs Enterprise, $1,499 a month, annual commitment 10,000 plus, weekly Uncapped API access is an Enterprise feature. Read September 2026.

Three patterns fall out of that table. The agency tools, SEOmonitor, AgencyAnalytics and our own Agency plan, include the API at the tier an agency would buy anyway. The mid market trackers, Wincher, Nightwatch and Advanced Web Ranking, use the API as the reason to step up one tier, which costs EUR 40 at Wincher and $140 at AWR. The suites, Semrush and Ahrefs, treat the API as an enterprise feature, which is fine if you are buying the suite and a poor way to buy a ranking feed. The wider comparison, including what a rank tracker API can and cannot do, is in our best rank tracker with an API guide.

Is the SEOmonitor API a SERP API?

No, and the distinction decides which product you should be pricing. The SEOmonitor API returns the data SEOmonitor has already collected for the keywords you pay to track. It does not accept an arbitrary query and return a live Google results page. If what you need is raw SERPs on demand for keywords you have not committed to tracking, you are shopping for a SERP API, where DataForSEO, SerpApi and the rest charge per thousand results and are cheaper per result than any tracker. That market has its own pricing logic, covered on our SERP API pricing page. A tracker API is the right buy when you want stored daily history, competitor columns and alerts without building the storage layer yourself, and that is the layer SEOmonitor's unlimited access is really selling.

Who should pay EUR 299 for this, and who should not

An agency with a Looker Studio report per client, a developer who maintains the connectors and three or more people who need logins is the buyer SEOmonitor priced Pro for. Unlimited seats, unlimited campaigns and the unmetered API all sit inside the one number, and the same brief at Semrush or Ahrefs is a per seat charge plus an enterprise conversation. For a team keeping a running tally of its SaaS spend across the stack, SEOmonitor's shape is easy to forecast: the bill moves with keyword count and nothing else.

A developer who wants a clean daily ranking feed for one or two sites and does not need forecasting, content auditing or an agency dashboard is paying for a platform to get a pipe. On our side the rank tracking API comes with the $249 Agency plan, which covers 5,000 daily keywords across unlimited sites and stores the organic top 10 on every check, so the competitor column is daily rather than weekly. There is no Looker Studio connector here, and one login per account, both of which SEOmonitor does better. If those two things are on your list, SEOmonitor is the right call. If the list is positions, history and alerts through an API, it is not.

SEOmonitor API pricing questions

Is the SEOmonitor API free?

There is no separate charge for it. SEOmonitor does not sell API calls, credits or an API tier; the help center article on the API is titled "Unrestricted, free API access" and states there are "no tier-based limits to API requests". The only ceiling is a fair use one: 10,000 requests a day, 10 requests a second and 1,000 rows per request, identical on every plan. You pay for the daily tracked keywords, from EUR 99 a month on Starter and EUR 299 on Pro, and the API reads whatever those keywords produce.

Does SEOmonitor Starter include API access?

Probably, but the vendor material is inconsistent. The pricing page header promises unlimited API for the platform and the help center says every tracked campaign gets API access, while the Pro card lists "Unlimited API Access" in its "Includes everything in Starter, plus" block. If the API is the reason you are buying and Starter is the budget, ask SEOmonitor to confirm in writing before paying.

What data can you pull from the SEOmonitor API?

Campaign level data (campaign details, keyword lists, landing pages, organic traffic and forecasts) and keyword level data (daily rankings, search volume and SERP data, competitor positions and keyword level traffic), plus SEOmonitor's curated US and UK keyword research databases. Version 3.0 is the current API with public documentation; the older 1.2 remains operational for existing integrations.

Does SEOmonitor have a Looker Studio connector?

Yes, a native one, listed on the Pro plan card and in the help center alongside a Google Sheets add-on and CSV export. None of them carries an extra charge. That matters in this category because Advanced Web Ranking gates Looker Studio at its $279 Agency tier and Wincher switches it off on its EUR 49 Basic plan.

The short version

The SEOmonitor API costs nothing on top of the tracking plan and is unlimited on Pro at EUR 299 for 3,000 daily keywords. Whether Starter at EUR 99 includes it is stated three ways by the vendor; confirm before buying on that basis. Against the field, only AgencyAnalytics and our Agency plan include an API at a comparable tier without a separate charge; Wincher, Nightwatch and AWR sell it as the reason to step up a tier, and Semrush and Ahrefs reserve it for enterprise. Buy SEOmonitor for the API when the platform around it is also on your list. Buy a tracker API when it is not.
