Keyword.com API pricing and the cost per 1,000 daily keywords
Keyword.com sells its rank tracking API as a flat monthly plan, priced by keyword count, update frequency and depth. API-only daily tracking costs $46 a month for 1,000 keywords at Top 50 depth, $229 for 5,000 and $4,080 for 100,000, with about 20% off on yearly billing. There are no per-call charges and no overages. Weekly updates cost roughly a quarter of the daily price.

Who should read the Keyword.com API price list
This is for a team that already knows it wants rankings in its own software: an agency feeding a client portal, an in-house team piping positions into Looker Studio or a warehouse, or a developer building a product on top of ranking data. If you only need the dashboard, the Keyword.com pricing breakdown of the platform plans is the page you want.
Keyword.com publishes the API price list on its own page, but the page loads at 5,000 weekly keywords on yearly billing and shows two numbers at a time. Most third-party listings copy whichever number they happened to see, which is why you will find "from $46" in one place and "from $11" in another. Both are right. They describe different tiers.
Keyword.com API price list by keyword count
Monthly billing first, then the monthly equivalent on yearly billing. Read from keyword.com/api-pricing and the package list it loads, October 2026, in US dollars.
| Keywords | Weekly, Top 50 | Daily, Top 50 | Weekly, Top 100 | Daily, Top 100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $11 / $9 | $46 / $37 | $15 / $12 | $63 / $50 |
| 5,000 | $57 / $46 | $229 / $183 | $77 / $62 | $310 / $248 |
| 10,000 | $104 / $83 | $416 / $333 | $141 / $113 | $562 / $450 |
| 25,000 | $260 / $208 | $1,040 / $832 | $351 / $281 | $1,404 / $1,123 |
| 50,000 | $510 / $408 | $2,040 / $1,632 | $689 / $551 | $2,754 / $2,203 |
| 100,000 | $1,020 / $816 | $4,080 / $3,264 | $1,377 / $1,102 | $5,508 / $4,406 |
Two things stand out. First, the per-keyword price barely falls with volume: daily Top 50 is $46 per 1,000 keywords at the bottom and $40.80 per 1,000 at 100,000, a discount of about 11%. Second, Keyword.com quotes the request cost directly, at $0.0015 per fully enriched request on Top 50 and $0.0021 on Top 100, which matches the table: 1,000 keywords times 30 days is 30,000 requests, and 30,000 times $0.0015 is $45.
Is the API-only plan cheaper than the Keyword.com platform plan?
Yes, by a wide margin, and this is the part most buyers miss. The platform plans include the API, but you pay for the dashboard, reports and AI credits too. Daily tracking of 500 keywords on the Search Visibility platform plan costs $88 a month. Daily tracking of 1,000 keywords on the API-only plan costs $46. At 5,000 daily keywords the gap is $572 on the 360 platform plan against $229 API-only.
So if nobody on your team logs into the Keyword.com interface, and every chart lives in your own BI tool, the API-only plan is the obvious buy. If account managers check the dashboard every morning or clients use live ViewKey links, you need the platform plan and the API comes with it.
Keyword.com API vs other ways to get rankings by API
Priced at 5,000 keywords checked daily, monthly billing, which is a typical agency feed. The columns are not like for like, so the last one says what you get for the money.
| Route | Monthly cost | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| DataForSEO SERP API, standard queue | About $90 in calls (150,000 x $0.0006), $50 minimum deposit | Raw results pages, 5 minutes average turnaround. You build scheduling, parsing, storage and history. |
| Keyword.com API-only, Top 50 | $229, or $183 yearly | Finished daily rankings to position 50, volume, CPC, SERP features, AI Overview flag, unlimited history. No dashboard. |
| SerpsTracker Agency | $249, or $124.50 yearly | Daily positions and the stored organic top 10 by API and dashboard, drop alerts, unlimited sites. No positions past 10. |
| Keyword.com 360 platform plan | $572, or $458 yearly | Dashboard, reports, AI search credits and the API, Top 50. |
| Semrush API | Advanced plan $549 plus a unit package | Position Tracking reads cost 100 units per keyword per request, bought separately. |
| Ahrefs API | From the $129 Lite plan | Rank Tracker endpoints use no units, but Ahrefs updates rankings weekly, so the feed is weekly. |
Read honestly, Keyword.com API-only beats our Agency plan by $20 on monthly billing and returns more per keyword: depth to 50, search volume and SERP features. We win on yearly billing, at $124.50 against $183, and if your team also wants a dashboard and drop alerts in the same price. Semrush and Ahrefs only make sense if you already pay for them; neither is a cheap route to daily positions. Full numbers for both are in Semrush API pricing and Ahrefs API pricing.
Raw SERP API or a rank tracking API
The $90 against $229 gap looks like an easy call until you price the build. A raw SERP API hands back a results page. Someone has to schedule 5,000 requests a day, retry the failures, parse positions out of the page, match your domain, store every day, and expose history to whatever reads it. That is a few weeks of engineering and an ongoing job, and the $139 a month difference pays for very little of it.
Raw SERP data makes sense when you are building a search product and need the whole page, or when you are scraping more than Google results anyway. If that is your case, a web scraping API that returns clean, LLM-ready page data covers the non-Google sources in the same pipeline. For a ranking feed into reports, buy finished rankings. Our SERP API pricing page has the per-1,000 rates for five raw providers, and rank tracker vs SERP API walks through the build in detail.
What changes the Keyword.com API bill
-
Frequency
Daily costs about four times weekly at every tier. Weekly runs refresh on Mondays at 00:00 UTC, daily runs every day at 00:00 UTC. If your reports are weekly, do not pay for daily.
-
Depth
Top 100 costs about 37% more than Top 50 at 1,000 keywords and 35% more at 100,000. Most client reports never show anything past position 50.
-
Devices and locations
Keyword.com counts desktop and mobile for the same phrase as two keywords. A 2,500 phrase list on both devices is a 5,000 keyword plan.
-
Volume above 100,000
The published list stops at 100,000 keywords. Beyond that, and for sustained high request volume, Keyword.com quotes custom unit pricing, usually with an SLA.
When our API is the better buy
Pick SerpsTracker if you want daily Google positions in your own tools and in a dashboard, pay yearly, and report on page one. Agency is $249 a month or $124.50 billed yearly for 5,000 daily keywords on unlimited sites, with the rank tracker API and per keyword rank drop alerts in the same plan. Pick Keyword.com API-only if you need positions past 10, search volume in the same response, or a weekly feed, because those are things we do not sell.
Frequently asked questions
How much does the Keyword.com API cost?
API-only plans start at $11 a month for 1,000 keywords updated weekly at Top 50 depth. Daily updates on 1,000 keywords cost $46 a month, 5,000 cost $229, and 100,000 cost $4,080. Top 100 depth costs about a third more, and yearly billing takes about 20% off every tier.
Is the Keyword.com API included in the subscription?
Yes. Every Keyword.com platform plan, from the $4 Search Visibility tier up, includes API access to your ranking data. The separate API-only plans are for teams that want the data feed without paying for the dashboard, and they cost less per keyword than the platform plans.
Does Keyword.com charge per API call?
No. API-only plans are a flat monthly price set by keyword count, update frequency and depth. Keyword.com states there are no overages, no per-call charges and no prepaid credits, and no per-day cap on requests, so pulling the same data ten times a day costs the same as pulling it once.
Is there a free trial for the Keyword.com API?
Yes. Every new Keyword.com account gets a 14-day free trial covering 100 keywords, with no credit card, and you can generate an API key from account settings without talking to sales. That is enough to wire one integration end to end before the first charge.
How does Keyword.com API pricing compare to DataForSEO?
Raw SERP calls are cheaper on DataForSEO: its standard queue is $0.0006 per results page, so 1,000 keywords checked daily is about $18 a month in calls. Keyword.com charges $46 for the same volume but returns finished rankings with search volume, SERP features and stored history, so you do not build the scheduling, parsing and storage yourself.
What does the Keyword.com API return?
Each request returns Google rankings with SERP features, monthly search volume, CPC, competition and search intent, AI Overview detection, share of voice and competitor tracking, at country, city or ZIP level. History is stored indefinitely, so you can re-query any past date without affecting your plan limits.
