Conductor alternatives and Conductor competitors with published prices for rank tracking
Conductor publishes plan limits but no prices, and it refreshes rankings weekly unless you pay for a daily add-on. If its Keywords report is what your team opens, the cheaper alternative is a daily tracker: 5,000 Google keywords on unlimited sites cost $249 a month on our Agency plan. If you rely on its AI search and content modules, compare seoClarity and BrightEdge on quotes instead.

Start from what you actually use in Conductor
Conductor is no longer pitched as a rank tracker with extras. Its plans bundle four products: Creator for AI content drafts, Intelligence for SEO and AI search reporting, Monitoring for round the clock site checks, and AgentStack for the API and an MCP server. The right replacement depends on which of those your team opened in the last quarter, so pull the usage report before you look at any vendor.

Why teams start looking for a Conductor alternative
Three situations come up again and again. The first is the renewal. Conductor sells on annual terms with a custom quote, and Vendr, which tracks anonymized software purchases, reports a median Conductor contract of $49,020 a year with a range from $41,364 to $93,100 on its February 2026 page. When finance asks what that bought, the honest answer is sometimes a weekly keyword report and a couple of dashboards.
The second is refresh speed. Conductor's documentation says tracked keyword data is collected weekly unless you choose to track specific keywords daily, and daily keyword data is marked as an add-on. Weekly data is published 30 to 96 hours after collection. A team that wants to know on Wednesday that a money page fell off page one on Tuesday is not served by the default schedule.
The third is plan fit. Essentials stops at 500 keywords and 3 websites, and Growth at 5,000 keywords and 5 websites. An agency or a brand with a dozen country sites can outgrow the website count long before the keyword count, and the next step is an Enterprise conversation that starts at 60,000 keywords.
Conductor competitors compared on price and rank tracking
Each row comes from the vendor's own pricing page or documentation, read between September and October 2026. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than repeat directory estimates.
| Tool | Published price | Keywords | Refresh | How you buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Conductor | None | 500, 5,000, 60,000+ | Weekly; daily is an add-on | Trial on Essentials, demo, sales |
| BrightEdge | None; pricing URL returns not found | Not published | Not published | Demo, then quote |
| seoClarity | From $2,500, $3,200 or $4,500 a month by package | Rankings package from 2,000 queries | Daily or weekly, set in the contract | Demo, then quote |
| Ahrefs Enterprise | $1,499 a month, annual commitment | From 10,000 | Weekly | Sales |
| Semrush Advanced | $549 a month, $455.67 billed yearly | 5,000 | Daily | Self-serve |
| AccuRanker Professional | $224 a month | 2,000 | Daily | Self-serve, no trial |
| Keyword.com 360 | $572 a month | 5,000 | Daily, top 50 | Self-serve, 14 day trial |
| SerpsTracker Agency | $249 a month, $124.50 billed yearly | 5,000 on unlimited sites | Daily, top 10 | Self-serve |
The table splits into two groups. BrightEdge, seoClarity and Ahrefs Enterprise are the platform route: annual contracts, a sales conversation and a much wider product than rank tracking. Semrush, AccuRanker, Keyword.com and SerpsTracker are the self-serve route, where the price is on the page and rankings refresh daily by default. Every price in the second group is under what a single month of the Conductor median works out to.
seoClarity, the closest platform swap
seoClarity is the only one of the large enterprise platforms that puts numbers on its pricing page, and it sells rank tracking on its own as the Rankings package, quoted from 2,000 keyword queries with unlimited users. If your organization wants to stay on a platform but pay for rankings alone, ask for that package. Floors, levers and yearly minimums are in our seoClarity pricing breakdown.
BrightEdge, if you want a different enterprise relationship
BrightEdge covers the same ground as Conductor, from research and content to AI search, and publishes no price at all. It makes sense when the reason to leave Conductor is the account relationship rather than the cost. Our BrightEdge alternative comparison looks at it from the other side.
Semrush or AccuRanker, if you want self-serve daily data
Semrush Advanced tracks 5,000 keywords daily for $549 a month and brings the whole Semrush toolkit with it, including the API. AccuRanker Professional tracks 2,000 keywords daily for $224, with its read API starting on the Expert plan. Both are proven choices, and both cost more per keyword than a tracker built for the one job.
A dedicated daily tracker, if rankings are the job
A daily rank tracker reads the Google top 10 for every keyword every morning, by city or ZIP and device, shows competitors in the same table and emails you when a keyword falls past your threshold. Our Agency plan covers 5,000 keywords on unlimited sites for $249 a month with an API, and Enterprise covers 10,000 with roles and permissions for $498. We do not read past position 10, we do not track AI answers, and we do not write content. The full plan list is on our pricing page.
What a year costs on each route
Take a team tracking 5,000 keywords, which is the Conductor Growth allowance. Against the reported Conductor median of $49,020, twelve months of seoClarity at its lowest published floor is $30,000, Ahrefs Enterprise is about $18,000, Semrush Advanced billed yearly is about $5,468, Keyword.com 360 at the monthly rate is $6,864, and our Agency plan billed yearly is $1,494. At 500 keywords, the Essentials allowance, our Growth plan covers 1,500 daily keywords for $594 a year.
Those products are not equal, which is why the split setup is common. Keep a platform on a smaller keyword count for content and audits, and move the daily money list to a tracker. Platforms price on keyword volume, so taking the daily list out of the contract lowers the quote. Some teams go further, drop the platform and hand the content and technical work to an SEO agency that works with SaaS and ecommerce brands, keeping only the tracker in house so they can check the agency's results each morning.
How to move off Conductor without losing your baseline
- Export before the term ends. Pull the tracked keyword list, segments and a dated export of positions. Conductor keeps 24 months in the platform and points to its API for anything you want to keep longer.
- Trim the list to what you report. Weekly lists collect research terms nobody reads. Keep the page one terms tied to revenue and the competitors you actually compare against.
- Run both for one Conductor cycle. Conductor reads weekly and a daily tracker reads every morning, so compare the direction of moves across a full week, not single positions.
- Rebuild alerts and dashboard feeds. Set per keyword drop thresholds and point your BI tool at the CSV export or API before the old contract lapses.
The longer checklist is in how to switch rank trackers, and the plan by plan detail on Conductor itself is on our Conductor pricing page.
When to stay on Conductor
Stay if your content team writes in Creator every week, if leadership tracks AI search visibility from Conductor reports, or if Monitoring is how engineering hears about broken pages. Stay too if the contract has a year left, because switching mid-term saves nothing. The search for a Conductor alternative pays off when the usage report is short, the renewal is close and the main complaint is that rankings arrive a week late.
Conductor alternative questions
What are the main Conductor competitors?
The closest Conductor competitors are the other enterprise SEO platforms, BrightEdge and seoClarity, plus Botify on the technical side and the enterprise tiers of Semrush and Ahrefs. For teams that mostly use Conductor for keyword rankings, dedicated rank trackers such as AccuRanker, Keyword.com and SerpsTracker compete on that one job at a far lower price.
What is the best Conductor alternative?
It depends on what you use. For a full platform swap, seoClarity is the closest match and the only big rival with published starting prices, from $2,500 a month. For AI search and content, stay on a platform. If keyword rankings are the main use, a daily tracker replaces that part for $249 a month for 5,000 keywords.
Is Conductor cheaper than BrightEdge?
You cannot tell from public prices, because neither publishes one. Conductor at least publishes plan limits and a free trial on Essentials, while BrightEdge offers demos only. Purchase data from Vendr puts the Conductor median at $49,020 a year. Get both quotes for the same keyword count, websites and refresh frequency.
Does Conductor track rankings daily?
Only with an add-on. Conductor documentation says tracked keyword data is collected weekly unless you choose to track specific keywords daily, and it marks daily keyword data as add-on required. Most alternatives on this page, including Semrush Position Tracking, AccuRanker and SerpsTracker, refresh daily on the standard plan.
Can I replace Conductor with a rank tracker?
You can replace its rank tracking, not the platform. A daily tracker covers positions, competitor columns, drop alerts, CSV export and an API feed. It does not cover Conductor content generation, AI search visibility or round the clock site monitoring. Teams whose usage report is mostly the Keywords report lose little.
What happened to Searchmetrics?
Conductor acquired Searchmetrics in 2023, and searchmetrics.com now redirects to conductor.com. Former Searchmetrics customers who are looking for an alternative are therefore choosing between Conductor plans and the same competitors listed on this page, and the same quote-only pricing applies.
More on cost: the rank tracker cost comparison prices 21 trackers per keyword, and our enterprise rank tracking page answers the security and procurement questions a large company asks before it signs.
